Hi guys!
This month, I had the opportunity to travel to the famous Music City in Nashville Tennessee!
I travelled all around the city just to get a taste all of the city’s top recommendations. From picturesque coffee shops to scenic routes and delicious restaurants, I compiled a list of my most honest reviews everywhere I went. But what sort of writer would I be if I didn’t share all of the best places with you?! A horrible one, that is for sure.
So, without further ado, let’s dive into 5 of the coziest coffeehouses in Music City, in my opinion of course π
1. The Frothy Monkey Coffeehouse $$

Location
The Frothy Monkey is a well-known coffeehouse situated on 12th avenue. There are quite a few of them all over so you might need a map! It was right down the street from this adorable cookie shop, and if that wasn’t enough, a cozy little flower shop next door! Upon arrival, we were greeted and sat inside. Of course, if you are looking for more of an outdoor experience in the warm weather, there was plenty of outside seating.

Interior
The smell of vanilla and crisp coffee beans fill the air as you step inside. The first thing you’ll notice is all of the colorful menu items! The shop definitely gave off a very laid-back, welcoming vibe. All of the employees were super sweet and accommodating which is always a great thing to experience in high-volume restaurants. Although, it may not look like it in the photos, this shop was super busy! The cabana-style dining area in the back presented a more family-style table set up. Customers were close together as they ate, but it wasn’t clustered in the slightest. It was a pleasant, warm environment that quite honestly, felt like home. π The menu offered a variety of items including breakfast, lunch and cocktails. I must say, I was tempted to try a few of the delectable-sounding menu items, but I had to tell myself to stick to the coffee menu, as a few of the items were a bit on the pricier side.
Sips N Things
Time for ratings! The house recommended a few of the most popular drinks, so of course, I had to try them! Starting things off right with this deliciously sweet drink, The Rosemary Honey Latte was a tranquil, heaven to my lips. Espresso crafted with hints of rosemary honey and a splash of macadamia milk (optional of course), this drink is the perfect recommendation for my sweet coffee lovers. The foam was perfectly blended to a creamy texture. I gave this drink an 8/10 because although I loved the taste, I’m not very much of a sweet coffee drinker. But if you are, this is a great try!
The Salty Siren was a fantastic choice for those readers looking for more of a ‘morning buzz’ than a ‘sip and walk’. I gave this espresso a 7.5 out of 10 because the Salty Siren was a bit too ‘salty’! Go figure π The drink was bursting with expressive flavors and the consistency was very creamy. In the end, the salted caramel spoke a bit too much in this drink, but still a good recommendation for my espresso team.

To make up for the lack of volume in the previous drinks, I let the server choose my final cup. He went with the restaurant favorite, “Turtle Latte.” If you’re craving a mocha, this is the drink for you! Gliding to the top at a smooth rating 0f 8.5/10, this iced mocha was great, but the banana flavor made it even better!

2. Barista Parlor
Location
Although Frothy Monkey was sooo good, there was one more coffeehouse that I think you should consider adding to your to-do list. This one was called “Barista Parlor” and is well known for its strawberry whipped cream and beautiful interior. There are many locations around Nash that you could visit, but the one that I chose was on 21st Ave in Hillsboro Village. They serve drinks, pastries, eggs and bagels; but of course, I went with the coffee! Just in case, I took a photo of the daily specials. I appreciated that the pastries were priced reasonably because it’s so hard to find any breakfast that’s affordable these days lol.

Interior
Hands down, the best part about this place was the eclectic interior. Every section had design aspects that definitely stood out.

When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how cute this place was. The set up was intimate and stylish, yet also had small hints of retro design. They even had a record player! But that’s not even the best part! All of the art displayed was sourced from local artisans! WE LOVE A LOCAL SUPPORTING BUSINESS. Their purpose is to create an atmosphere that promotes “beauty, creativity, and community.” I absolutely loved that.
Another unique thing about this place is how and where they brew their coffee.
The espresso is all steeped in-house. After doing more research about the process online, I found out that Barista Parlor specializes in the betterment of coffee through ethical sourcing and sweet roasting. That explains why the espresso is sooo good. It takes a bit longer to get your order, but in my opinion, the quality is well worth the wait.
Strawberry Honeybee
I got so carried away with the interior, that I haven’t even gotten to the coffee yet! This time, my husband and I both got the same kind of coffee because it was so strongly recommended. Strawberry Honeybee Latte: House-made espresso with strawberry honey syrup, steamed milk and topped with strawberry whipped cream.
The rating I gave this drink was a 7.5/10. I loved the consistency of the drink and the espresso was definitely high quality. It was just a little bit too much espresso for my taste. Even after stirring it a bit, the espresso still came off strong. However, I had much appreciation for the strawberry whipped cream and syrup. It added a nice subtle sweetness to the drink without becoming overbearing. If you love espresso, I have a hunch that this drink will be the one for you!
I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to share these recommendations with you guys. I hope that you found or will find them helpful the next time that you find yourself in Music City!
